Hilton Walt Disney World resort
The Hilton Walt Disney World resort, also known as Hilton Head Island, is a popular retreat for those who don't particularly want to visit the Disney theme parks for their vacation. Because it's a Disney Vacation Club property, which means that members of Disney's time-share program are eligible to stay there, the accommodations are geared more towards a longer stay.
The rooms at the Hilton Walt Disney World resort can be a studio which features a small kitchenette and other home-like features or it can be a three-bedroom accommodation which can house up to twelve people. The bigger units have washers and dryers, but if you don't have a washer and dryer in your unit there is a laundromat on the property. All of the accommodations at Hilton Head Island can house at least four people making it ideal for vacationing families.
The Hilton Walt Disney World resort has a lot of recreational activities for families to do as well. There are several pools for various ages as well as group activities for children and families alike. The resort offers evening activities for the children should the parents want to enjoy a night out on the town. If you want something to eat, the Hilton Walt Disney World resort features five dining areas including a full-service sit down restaurant. If you want to branch away from the resort, the local area offers dining and shopping. The resort features a 1940s feel. Even being away from the theme parks, Disney still makes sure to theme its properties to make it a fun and interesting experience. Hilton Head Island is a fun way to use your Disney Vacation Club member points. If you are not a member of the Disney Vacation Club, the Hilton Walt Disney World resort is a good incentive to try out a membership.
