Disney World Orlando hotel - The Polynesian
An early Disney World Orlando hotel, the Polynesian was one of the first resorts created to cater to the Walt Disney World guests. This resort is located on the man-made Seven Seas Lagoon that borders the Magic Kingdom and the two other Magic Kingdom resorts. This Disney World Orlando hotel is considered a deluxe resort according to Disney's pricing structure. The deluxe resorts are considered the best available and the Polynesian does not disappoint.
At the Polynesian, you will have large rooms decorated in a tropical theme. All the rooms are on interior hallways, which is a nice feature as well. The pool has a volcanic theme that fits into the tropical décor. You are within a short monorail ride or a short walk from the Magic Kingdom. As you walk along the edges of the resort you can hear the tropical soundtrack that is playing from strategically hidden speakers. The Polynesian is the Disney World Orlando hotel that offers the most beachfront property as well. While you cannot swim in the Seven Seas Lagoon, you can lounge on the beach. There are several hammocks available as well as a couple lounge chairs. Being that the Polynesian is located so close to the Magic Kingdom, guests will have excellent views of the nightly fireworks display as well as the nightly display on the Seven Seas Lagoon.

One amenity at this Disney World Orlando hotel that is not available at the other resorts is a unique restaurant. Several nights a week, you can attend a luau at the Polynesian resort. The luau is very popular and usually requires a reservation to attend. You will have the opportunity to eat tropical food while watching cultural dances being performed. This is truly an interesting dining experience that is only offered at this Disney World Orlando hotel.
